This morning, we treated our precious girl to her first rock concert. During her 30 minute after-breakfast reprieve, our little family boogied to our U2360 (degree) dvd. She perked up with Mysterious Ways (that's Mommy's girl!) and we placed her back into traction after I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. We rocked out with the Jambo-ree Parum pum pum percussion set I was thrilled by in my Traction Entertainment post. She is drumming with her centipede drumsticks in the photo above.
The party continued on the floor. She was especially thrilled to break in her shakers to Elevation.
Mommy had been shaking alongside her with the giraffe maracas pictured in the Traction Entertainment post. She kissed them, made them kiss each other, asked Mommy and Daddy to kiss them, then ensured Mommy snapped a photo of one.
After lunch, we watched our favorite hockey team play a game on tv. Our hippie insisted the percussion set join in. She shook the tambourine and helped bang the drum each time they scored.
I could not resist snapping photos of each instrument- this collection is just so darn cute!
This afternoon, our Hip Chick also bragged to Mommy about her new circus tricks. First, she showed off her new found ability to sit. Next, she grabbed her feet (now we know why she had one sock missing this morning) and then attempted to reach through her legs and the traction unit to hit her sandbag weights. If she is approved to remove her good hip from traction at our upcoming appointment on Tuesday, we will be two very busy parents for the remaining three weeks until her surgery...
