The Hokey-Pokey

At her check up two days ago, our hippie received permission to remove her good hip from traction (per our discretion).  It took a bit of reassurance before she believed that her right leg could remain free.  Before long, however, she began testing the limits of her newfound freedom and we quickly decided to keep both legs In traction overnight.  We thought it best for her safety to do so.  We add extra weight to her left leg during the day and then balance the weights for both legs overnight.

She is simply too curious for her own good!  Yesterday, Daddy called Scottish Rite for permission to add even more weight, as she has been pulling on and toying with the cables.

We finally opened the toddler art kit I had socked away for traction entertainment.  For a busy Mom like me, with little time for shopping, this was a good "craft time" solution.  I don't recommend the crayons, but the remaining supplies are inviting and festive.
